In conclusion, these ham and Swiss sliders are an easy and delicious recipe that will be a big hit at any game day gathering, movie night, or even a casual dinner. With the perfect combination of sweet Hawaiian rolls, juicy ham, and melted Swiss cheese, these sliders are sure to become a family favorite.

To make these cheese sliders, start by preheating your oven and preparing a baking dish lined with aluminum foil. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom layer. Place the bottom layer of rolls in the prepared baking dish, and then layer the ham and Swiss cheese slices on top. For added flavor, you can also use different types of cheese, such as cheddar or even a sharp Swiss.

In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, and any other desired seasonings. Using a pastry brush, generously brush the butter mixture over the tops of the sliders, ensuring an even layer. This will give the sliders a buttery, golden-brown finish.

For some extra flavor and texture, sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds over the tops of the sliders. These seeds will add a delightful crunch and visual appeal to the finished dish. Bake the sliders in the oven until the cheese is melted and the tops are nicely toasted.

Once out of the oven, let the sliders cool for a few minutes before using a sharp knife to separate them into individual sandwiches. The soft Hawaiian rolls provide the perfect base for these melty cheese sliders, and the combination of sweet and salty flavors is simply irresistible.

If you have any leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container or wrap them tightly in plastic wrap. They can be enjoyed the next day and are great for a quick lunch or snack. You can even heat them up in an air fryer to recapture their warm, melty goodness.

In summary, these ham and Swiss sliders are an easy appetizer or meal that is sure to be a popular choice during football season or any gathering. The sweet Hawaiian rolls, juicy ham, and melted cheese come together to create a delicious combination of flavors. Whether you’re hosting a super bowl party or simply looking for a new recipe to try, these cheese sliders are a good thing to have in your recipe collection. Hi girls! I have made these sandwiches and everyone raves about them! They are delicious!

I have also been making these for years for my kids' birthday parties. People ask me for the recipe all the time, but I made one slight change that I think you should try. I add in some minced garlic to the melted butter, and it really makes it pop ~ I've never measured, but I would guess around a tablespoon.

  4. Becki's Whole Life says:

These are the best. I have seen people make these with the Hawaiian rolls before, too. I agree, that poppyseed spread is amazing.

  5. Mandie says:

    These freeze well too!

  6. Anonymous says:

This is an old time recipe! Like another reader, I use these for my kids' parties! Once you wrap them in foil, pop them in the freezer and then when you want to use them, put them in the oven as directed. Yummy! Thanks for sharing!

  7. Kristi Boyles says:

I use onion rolls for mine. So therefore I omit the onions.. then I cit the rolls in quarters.. much easier

  8. Elenora says:

Here in amish country in ohio. We make sandwiches very similar to these. The only difference is we make the ham and swiss sandwiches and next we drizzle the poppy seed mixture over the top and bake for 20 minutes. Just don't put to much mixture on the top. Just had them today actually! Very Good!

  9. Maribel says:

Can you caramelize onion first? I'm not big on raw onions.

  10. Cyd says:

Sure you could caramelize the onions. Sounds delicious!

  11. Renee says:

These sound amazing! I am just wondering if there is a way to substitute the butter for something else since our family does not like butter? Any idea's?

  12. Cyd says:

I'm not sure what you substitute butter with in other recipes. I know in baking you can substitute butter with unsweetened applesauce or canola oil. But that would not taste good on these sliders. Sorry we are not more help. We love this recipe the way it is. It's is truly one of our favorites. So we have never even thought how we could change it up.

  13. Denise says:

    Garlic infused olive oil!!

  14. Rosa parks says:

    these are great little sammies

  15. Sara Blake says:

Look over the recipe. Says to use 2 slices of ham and that it.

  16. Momma Cyd says:

In the recipe ingredients it lists 28 slices of ham. So just place a slice or two of ham on each roll. You'll need to fold over the ham so it's not hanging over the edges.
